Former Director of the British Franchise Association ( bfa ) jailed for sexually abusing boys

We are shocked to have seen the news reports yesterday on the BBC & Daily Mail websites that Brian Smart, former Director General of the British Franchise Association ( bfa ) has been jailed for seven years for sexually abusing boys.

On behalf of the franchise industry in the UK, the QFA has today expressed its shock and distress at the atrocious and heinous acts committed by Brian Smart former director of the British franchise Association. Mr Joel Bissitt of the QFA said today that “We condemn the deplorable and selfish acts of Mr Smart & our thoughts and prays are with his victims at this time”.
