Nanny and former Childminder launches Kent Downs Nanny Agency

Harmony at Home

Former nanny and childminder, Vicky Newton has become one of Harmony at Home’s newest Franchisees, launching the Kent Downs territory earlier this year.

After applying for roles within recruitment agencies, she knew there was something out there that would fit her skill set more appropriately and began researching franchises. She came across Harmony at Home, and after booking her initial discovery call, she knew this was the place for her.

Vicky realised she wanted to work with children from a young age and was always wanting to help with family and friends children. She began her studies gaining a City and Guilds Level 2 in Childcare and Development, before enrolling onto the Level 3 course, where she was placed within a nursery and worked her way up to Supervisor and Room Leader of the Pre-School.

She has since worked extensively as a nanny, as well as performing some more hybrid nanny/PA roles before having her own children, when she then set up as a childminder.

The Kent Downs recruitment agency franchise is one of the latest additions to the Harmony at Home portfolio, which was launched by entrepreneur and Norland nanny Frankie Gray in 2004. The agency provides a range of nanny and household staff recruitment services to parents across the entire county – care is taken to create a positive experience for both clients and candidates.

On launching her own nanny and household staff recruitment agency Vicky comments, ‘I found the Harmony at Home brand and ethos really resonated with me and I became passionate about  becoming a part of Harmony at Home. After talking to Charlotte Maggs, the Franchise Support Manager on a discovery call, I knew that I had to be a part of Harmony at Home.’

Coming from a professional Nanny background and working in homes with multiple staff Vicky knows the importance of having the right team around you to create a smooth-running household. Vicky understands that juggling a family, job and interviewing candidates can be stressfull so she is on hand every step of the way to support both client and candidates.

Vicky prides herself on giving each client and candidate the personal experience right from the start.  Her aim is that you have a professional, straightforward service that you will always remember.

Frankie Gray, Harmony at Home’s founder, adds “Vicky is deeply aligned with our brand values, and  enthusiastically preoccupied with finding candidates. This in today’s candidate driven market is a  brilliant asset to have, as Vicky goes the extra mile to find the hidden high-quality candidates. I’m sure  that Vicky will prove successful as she really does have the client and candidate best interests at  heart, along with the desire to make the right match”

Vicky is often found out and about with her dogs and horses, and has support from her wonderful  family.
