The Future of Franchise Communications?

2020…enough said!

Just kidding! In a year that will live forever in the minds of every person on the planet that made it through this global pandemic, it certainly is nice to see light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a vaccine.

A return to a somewhat normal life is all that everyone craves and with that will come content, and if there is one thing to take away from the last 12 months, it’s that the next 12 months can be whatever you want it to be.

For me personally, I was lucky enough to start a new position with a software start-up company, you guessed it, with .What you are expecting next is for me to tell you how perfect, fantastic and amazing it has been on this new journey of self-development? Not quite…

When you start a business, even with the most robust plan in place and with all the best intentions, the world we lived in during 2020 made every working hour a battle of immense proportion. Company CEO’s reeled in their lines, CFO’s returned to bean counters and marketing execs closed their doors and hung a ”do not disturb” sign on the handle. But, the battle new business start-ups faced during a global pandemic will stand to those involved in a great way once the dust settles, my findings were that the future for Follco will most definitely be closely aligned to the Franchise sector. That’s a brave statement, to somewhat exclude other sectors! but that prediction for next year comes from the endless hours of work finding the right fit for Follco.

The reason is simple…Follco is the solution to a problem. It took a while to realise that but you can only ever learn from the conversations you have with the people you meet, whether that’s in person (rare) or virtually (99% of the time now).

Software, apps, platforms and portals are plentiful, the choice for business communication is endless and it’s hard to stand out from the crowd and compete with the Googles and WhatsApp’s of this world. However there lies the problem! What most small/medium size franchises use for communications are just those, email, WhatsApp, Dropbox, messenger to name but a few…all great in their own right don’t get me wrong, and FREE also which is a major PRO! well sort of, bar your data! But the Cons must be acknowledged …Multiple Applications, Generic, time consuming, not customer focused, can be used socially and professionally and prolong your screen time with distraction causing wasted productivity.

Solution : Private Communication with your brand identity in mind, a single login system to help streamline franchise communication on to one professional, business talking platform. A secure, encrypted, GDPR compliant location to File Share ✅ Quickpost ✅ Groupchat ✅ Direct Message ✅ Schedule Events ✅ Along with Analytics for Admins, an optional Clock in/out system for Store Franchises and a Follco Rep who truly cares about offering world class support.

Our vision for Follco doesn’t fixate on our opportunity to make money, our outlook for growth isn’t dependent on our bottom line, what we really want is to offer small to medium sized Franchises the opportunity to experience a way of working that we believe helps them to be more productive, helps them to grow and lets us be part of their journey. Follco is completely free for teams up to 20, that’s 1 Admin User in control of the platform and up to 19 business contacts or franchisees receiving their exclusive content. Follco Premium is for the Franchises up to 500 contacts who want to take back control of their work communications and focus on engagement, productivity and brand values. The contacts I have made (some really great people by the way) and the feedback I have received after demo’s to the franchise sector has reinforced my belief that Follco for franchise is a match made in heaven..

Thanks for taking the time to read through my first Blog, as we grow in 2021 there will be more to come in the blogging world from me! When checking out our website if you hit ”contact form” and leave a message I will be happy to connect with you to chat some more.

Although I have pretty much said earlier that every day has been a battle and it has been a real struggle at times, that doesn’t mean I have not enjoyed this year or the challenges we faced as a start-up business.  Leaving with a quote that sums up 2020…”We don’t grow when things are easy, we grow when we face challenges”

Stay Safe
